Haven't Ben able to get out yet but I've got a few honey holes that I haven't Ben to in a couple of years. Hope to get things straightened out and make it to them this year.

Seen a few deer but I'm working on black bear. Indiana got me used to deer so since moving back here I want to try the local bears out.

I've been seeing a few does out and about, but no bucks yet. I'm ultivating my 30 acre plt to create avenues of travel for me and them in the thick brush I have, and a few clearings to draw them to for grazing and for me to hunt them in.
I'll be hunting my land in Middle TN and the mts. in East TN.

Eyes on around 30 or 40 so far. Followed a spotted fawn down the road last week a quarter mile and finally "beeped" it back on the grass. Couple weeks ago a small buck was hit and just dazed across the road from the house. I plan to stay in Ohio this year for hunting in and around Wayne National and the stand here at home. We have access to about 80 contiguous acres here that is always very productive.

Glad you had a nice trip Jerry. That'sut toward where IHLA leased some 300 acres a couple years ago. Never seen anything rougher to hunt except maybe Dvorshack out in Idaho. If they flattened it out it'd be 3 thousand acres!

Myself and my oldest daughter went on a little scouting trip today. Went up on an old road that leads about 2-21/2 miles into the mountains, most of it up hill. This road used to be used alot but now looks like nobody's been driving on it in years, which is a good thing. Seems the younger generation hunts around town and are to lazy to walk into the mountains. Works for me. Anyway, saw two sets of bear tracks. One looked pretty good. Plus some logs that had been torn up and a couple of "marker" trees. No sign of deer though which is something I'll have to go back and figure out why. Saw one squirrel. Beech trees are dropping their nuts now so squirrel season must be getting close. ;D

Oh yea, daughter "found" an old fishing lure( how or why it was back in that mountain I don't know) a .410 unfired shotgun shell, a turtle and a toad.

All I have to do is go out to where I always hunt and walk halfway up the hill with my crossbow and hopefully get one before my surgery date.

Great to hear Paws! ;D Your very welcome. But to be honest, I really don't need to know what you wear under your camo, as long as you like it and it makes you feel good... ;D ;D Every once in awhile spray the rails the bolt rides on with PAM. It helps keep the string from getting worn real fast. Most folks use string wax but the guy at the shop who restrung that bow used petrolatum when he set it up and told me to use that or PAM. It's what he's used for years. I just went with what he said. When I get the new string to you, you can go to using wax if you like.Have fun.... ;D

Garlic flavor for you Paws. Just be sure to take the earmuffs. That way you won't get distracted by the deer laughing.
