She don't hate the entire state. Just the legal system that swindled her out of a million bucks and her family that is living there.

People can certainly be lovely. You know you might just want to see if you can file a suit in Federal court against the Indiana legal machine for discrimination and violation of her civil rights. Maybe even outright theft. Good luck on your hunt. I suspect you would be coming down through Louisville headed home right? That would put you out about 300 miles to hit Athens. I have a guy in Tennessee who wants me to do a cooking class for a scout troop down your way either December or January. Maybe we can l.ink up then. I was hoping to get him to have the camp at Darwin so I could visit Jeff Brown and maybe stop by Clarksville to see my kids, as if they could give a takla, as well.

I normaly would use the Louiseville route but mapquest has a shorter route that goes through Ohio so I'm thinking of trying that route on the way back because if it's messed up I won't miss hunting.

Would that be across 70 to Columbus then 70 or 270 to 7 South? Coming from Indianapolis that would bring you oh just North of Dayton then there is plenty of stuff in Columbus. Route 7 comes as close to Athens as I think like 40 miles around Marietta which has plenty of stuff. Marietta is just a few miles South of Faith and Mike too so if you come down that way maybe we can have a mini-GT at the Coolspot! Old Frank probably will still be drawing his rocking chair benefit so we might get him down , maybe Buckeye, and maybe Steve Miracle too! What do ya think?

It's doable. According to mapquest, adding a side trip to Athens adds only 30 minutes to the trip.
It is I-69 to 30e to 309 to 33 to 550w,ect.
That's way to complicated so I'll go buy a new road map(Rand-Mcnally) and use mapquest as a reference but stick to better roads as I normaly would.

Cool Spot works for me! 4.3 miles south. Name a day & time. Mike gets home around 1700, but I'm usually just sittin 'rond the house. If you're on 33 south though, just stay on it to Athens. Nice smooth road most of the way down. Then take 50 towards Belpre(Phil, help me here. Is that exit off 33 marked Emerson Ave?) to SR7 towards Marietta. Cool Spot is at the top of a little rise on the left just as you get on 7.

I think it is marked 7N Faith. Really great spot the Cool Spot too! Where is Mike working? By the way, keep your eyes open and if either of you either considered a government career now would be the time to get the paperwork done. With funding in limbo, Dems incoming, and everybody pissed off at DOD and HLS you will see masive job generations real soon as well as increased funding. I expect as much as fifty percent increases in defense and security and would not be too terribly surprised to see a draft instituted as well within the next six months. Mars you got my phone number right?

Mike's working for Simmon's beef farm over by Tupper's Plains. More normal hours too. 0800 to almost 1700, six days a week. Best of all, I don't have to sit around all day with no wheels. Fellow he works with drives right by the door to get him. I'd love to go back to govt. work. (Though seriously doubt if I'd pass the physical anymore.) Just waiting to get ahead enough so's I can get a little beater of a car to do it. Nearly impossible to drive from the wrong side of a Montana mini-van. MIL went down to Hockingport today and it sounds like one of the gals who works at the little grocery there had a chance to read the resume I left at the Cool Spot. She's really pushing the old gal that runs the store to hire me to cook in the deli. Wouldn't be near as hard on my legs as cooking all evening at the Spot. Still, if I thought we could slide through till summer, I'd just as soon work the garden and farmers markets so I can pace myself under MY terms.

Let's shoot for Monday afternoon/early evening. Somebody over that way pick an exact time and I'll be there as close to it as possible but give or take a half hour just in case. Fortunately there's not a whole lot of road construction going on this time of year.

You guys and gal pick a time and the time zones are the same. My hours are as flexible as jello on a porch rail in summer.

Hate to do it but I must cancel out! A woman ran a red light over here and hit my truck on the front end drivers side. I'll be driving back to Tn. Sunday evening. Very slowly and I'll be going my old normal routes that I know so if anything goes bad I know where I am and where to get help. Until I can get this truck home and have it checked out I'm keeping it under 55 mph and "nursing it.
