Santa, All I want is for winter to be over so I can plant my garden again, and that my son-in-law finds a job soon. Bruce how about a green house where your son-in-law can get a head start planting your garden?

Well it looks like everyone got their wishes for a peaceful and joyous Christmas! Santa you outdid yourself. Part of your task to pull this off was bringing these wonderful people here to OCC to share their wisdom, goodness, and gifts of love. One of the most memorable I have had in many years. Today I spent time with family, friends, and loved ones. We all shared our bounty, laughed, and enjoyed one another's company. Thanks Santa and thank you all for a very Merry Christmas! Seeeee! My cousins Betty Lou the lady in Blue and the lady is white is Linda Mae their on my right! (She did the cookin!) Thanks cuz's!!

Paws...may I say, without being offensive...you have attractive cousins.
No one would ever believe it looking at me...but I have some attractive cousins too. We had a wonderful time with that bunch today. There was enough food to feed Cox's Army...and my Black Forest Pies (DCD Cook Book) was a major attraction.
All in all, it was a great Christmas! Hope it was likewise for everyone else!

After everyone exchanged their traditional Merry Christmas phone calls, I spent most of the day re-piling and burning brush. Then Lana had some bozo jerk-wad boyfriend over. (Can you tell I'm NOT impressed with the guy?) Thought he'd decided to move in with us. Finally drove him home at midnight.
Let's see..... Mom sent a box of blankets, including my favorite old ugly green one, and another box full of first aid supplies. There's another big box marked "Don't open 'til Mike gets back" that's waiting under the table the nativity is on.
Christmas morning we only opened the gifts that the kids had to give. Lana got me a pack of shoe laces and a pair of real stretchy socks. Martin got me a flashlight and some Tootsie Rolls. Rob contributed to getting me a non-electric carpet sweeper. Hutchinson's sent over a platter of cookies and loaned me a book on the history of the Blackfork area. Biggest gift was that one of the neighbors let us come over and take REAL showers. We all felt like a million bucks afterwards.
Don't know what or if Mike got me anything, yet. He gets home tomorrow.

Alright, I just gotta ask... I've had a few Christmas "pokes" in my time, but none involved a drawstring. What gives; that some kinda new Ohio fetish???

Now over in South East Asia, Santa tells me, they tie knots in a string and poke it up your whazoo then just at the right moment rip it back out! Zing what a feeling! (So Santa tells me.)

I couldn't quite figure to drawstring thing out myself. That was until he had me put it on over my head and started calling me Daisy.
