We will be arriving Friday evening and leaving Sunday afternoon. We have a 15' square Jeep tent and are ready for this year's first camping excursion.

OK we have around 60 to 65 planning to attend at this point. We will have skeet and probably a turkey shoot as well. A couple of the NAHC boys have volunteered to provide firewood for us. As a reminder, there is no water available on site so allow for containers for drinking, cooking, and fire control.

Great!! That'll be momma poppa and the squirt then? Yep, and my enthusiasm has spread as my husband says he is going to sign up on the board. Now I'm going to have to behave! Heather H.

Paws old friend, I don't know if I can make this one yet. I may just be a surprise visitor! If I don't make it, I want you to know I'll be having someone watching you to make sure you drink WATER!!! Ya hear that everyone. Paws tends to not drink fluids and becomes dehydrated, so keep an eye on him. And if he refuses to drink fluids, tell him it's gonna go in one end or other...his choice!!

Wow!!! Thought I was never going to get back in here!! Somebody please remind me to not get so busy and to drink more water as well!! ;D OK A little hitch in our git along. Due to expenses the Salt Fork event was voted down by the Raiders. Several members have fallen on job loss, reduction of hours, or medical problems limiting work thus the cost of the event is just plain too prohibitive. In cooperation with park officials we (I) LOL have been working on a possible alternative that needs to be accepted by all members attending the event , the park, and Mosbys Raiders. Here is the deal. We may stay rent free at the park "IF" we volunteer to clean up an assigned trail. That means picking up rubbish, and moving timber/rocks out of the pathway. I propose: We OCC and NAHC participants go ahead and fund the original four dollars per day per man with the funds going to the Raiders who will do the trail clean-up and in exchange recieve the rent fees as a donation to help cover expenses. It is a good cause, although not yet tax deductable, would provide funding to cover trip expenses and help provide for the repairs of a cannon presently in acquisition. It would not cost anyone any more than originally planned. So we shall see what the participants have to say and what happens. This twist also opens additional opportunities I hope we can take advantage of in future years as well! Say like this, if it works once, why not use the rent fee for door prizes or maybe inviting a VIP to share in the event, or maybe enen to help fund things like the Terry benefit and so forth. Heather on a more personal note, would you volunteer to go to the OCC Village Meeting hall and tell us all about IDOS and what you have planned for your chapter? Please!!!

Well the Raiders will not be attending the Salt Fork gathering. Other than that, everything looks pretty much the same. CanI get a head count for those here who plan to attendplease? ;D

Well, it may not necessarily be a "Good" time but it will definitely be different. Maybe we'll let you spend the night in the new cabin and just accidently invite Ada to come by. Since she doesn't have a real kitchen she has probably done more outdoor cooking than most of us. Last time I talked to her she told me she used to have 20 dogs but now only has 10. When I asked her what happened to the rest of them she said she didn't know, "must of just runned off". Go figure.
If I ever get the road improved to my place it would be fun to get a bunch of us together there. Work crew, work crew, oh yeah.

I don't see why not Rich. Maybe if I can get a few loose ends cleaned up here I can make it down this fall. By then I should have my "What Not" store in full swing with one full timer to take care of things. Haave you got a layout yet for feed plots, maybe a drop feeder or two?

You know Stephan, a Christian boy hadn't ought to ask a fellow a "temptation" question like that! ;D No sir we got the wood coming thanks to the Ohio boys up North there. I got the place reserved. Boys are bringing two traps and a couple boxes of clays, and I'm bringing targets, stakes, stapler thumbtacks, magnifying glass, binocs, so we should be pretty much good to go. I think I'll pick up another stove, maybe a grill, and a couple or three big water jugs. Tell you if this weather stays coolat night might want to bring an extra blanket.
