Nothing much for breakfast around Cambridge other than the Bob Evans and Cracker Barrel. Mom told me that at the USA Steak Buffet you can go back for seconds on the steak as well as the salad bar for about $7. Just pass your plate and another steak shows up! They open up around 11 am.
Keep me posted. If need be, Lana (my girl) and I will do the cooking Sunday morn for those who'd like to eat before they hit the road home.
Sure hope you can make it!!

I'm sure going to try. My buddy Kenny ran down to WVA Friday to visit with his wife's Dad, whom she just found for the first time. She was adopted out as a baby. Anywho, he has not returned so I do not know what he might be planning now.

Faith add a ground cloth for at least the center portion of your tent say a 12 x 12 laid out under the middle. That helps reduce wear and most of your traffic will be in the middle anyway. Put together a scrape, cut, and burn first aide kit. Toss in a couple big boxes of baking soda for fire extinguishers and so many other purposes. Bug juice or "Off". Water bottle/jug - 5 gallon minimum. Bring your Coleman cause no better time to check it out. and don't forget the matches. Everybody got a pocket knife?

Mike has a pocket knife. Or at least he should have! I bought him a new one for Christmas. Not sure about the boys. Mike took theirs away a while back when they got fighting. water - bringing what might fit in van with us Thursday. I have to come back to Barnesville Friday morn for a farmer's market meeting and will bring another 10-gal when I return. first aid stuff - I think most of it is still in the glove box from last September's fairs. Coleman - just sent sis down to the cellar for it. Soda - got it. (And tell my boy you ain't suppose to use Quik Tender on a stove burner fire. He did yesterday. ) Guess he thought it looked "close enough" to soda.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling so hot Phil. Hope you can still make it up for a bit sometime this weekend. I will be wearing something just a little warmer, Steve! Other than 6" of mud yesterday, it wasn't too bad. Rain slacked off around noon and we managed to get fires lit by supper. We tarped out fire ring, which seems to help quite a bit. Moose-eyes was in and did his mowing thing. My shoes were soaked and I ended up barefoot in mud early afternoon. Not a good thing. Mike said there should be a pair of gum boots in the barn that will fit me. Maybe a pair for Rob too. The soles fell off his shoes, but he's wearing them anyways. Then it started pouring again around midnight. Woke up this morning around 0530 with almost an inch of water/mud in the tent. Lana, Martin & dog were froze. Martin has like 0% body fat so it doesn't take long for him to get cold. Wish I could share some of mine with him. I left Mike & Rob back at camp to tend the fire while the rest of us run everything through the wash. Martin managed to catch his first two catfish yesterday with United and Buckeye Bill. So far, there's United, Buckeye Bill, MadJack, and us. Moose eyes went home for the night. All in all, Mike and I are having a very happy 16th anniversary so far! Just another day at the office. Rain, mud, and a leaky roof! ;D But.....WE'RE HAVING FUN!!! ;D ;D

I'm so sorry to hear the weather has been so miserable. What is the problem with the tent Faith? Is it leaks or tracking in? You can put a regular bristle door mat in front of the tent and a bench to remove boots and put clean feet into the tent. Might even want to rig a fly in front of the door to keep the entry dry. How is the Coleman working? Keep track of those kids fish so we know who gets the new spinning rig! p.s. Happy Anniversary Mike and Faith! and who says I'm not feeling so hot? Hotter than hell!

Well last load is in the dryer and has 15 minutes to go, meeting is over, chili for supper is fixed. Busy morning. Weather is dying up. Looking better all the time! ;D Rain came through the floor, through the rain fly, under the fly....Have plastic down under the tent and over the floor. Just noticed one little drip last night when I was lying down. Nothing big and out of our way. This morning it coming through the fabric. Rain proofing will have to wait til later. All spent out for now. I've got a trash bag at the door for shoes & another for jackets. First rule was "Anyone steps in that tent with mud on 'em their dead meat!!!" Didn't even have a chance to unpack the Coleman, yet. Supper was oatmeal & hot dogs from the new pan. No - not stirred together. But, what a combo! United took pics of Marty with his fish. First cats he ever reeled in and first time fishing without a bobber.

By the way, it sounds like I'm bitchin' & moaning a lot, but I'm not. Just very ill prepared. These are the kinds of memories we'll talk about in the future and laugh our butts off about! OH YEAH....Thanks for the anniversary wishes!

Everybody get home safe? I'm going to live unless this junk stays in my chest. Kind of settled in there yesterday. Fever is about petered out and most everything is making sense to me again. Headache and sore throat are gone. Muscles are still stiff and sore, very tired and still have a cough although it is now a non-productive cough. You know I think I'm actually kicking this faster than Sue is and she is on antibiotics. My sugar is back to within reason. Yesterday it was down to 160 fasting. So I'm not well yet but getting there. So let me see: I need an address to send my hat money to. And a billing for our group donation. And I intend to ante up for the fire wood. I need to know who won the fishing contest and get an address to send the fishing gear. And I also need Mike and Faith's address for an I ain't going to tell you why!

We's home! Had a GREAT time!!! ;D
After the first night it was smooth sailing. Made my first 2 dozen biscuits (actually first anything) in the new double skillet over a fire. Not too shabby, if I do say so. But that pan holds up to its name "Steam-Tite". Glad I decided to use the pans separately and then lay my 30" waitress tray over them!
Finally pulled the Coleman out of the van for last nights pot luck contribution of fried green tomatoes. She works like a charm.
And guess what! We're all unpacked already!! ;D

Paws, sounds like what I had last week. Enjoyable ain't it?LOL. I found out the true meaning of a "drug free work place" last week. Mars, we can't have you out being sick! Here, take these to keep you going and they're free!

That thing I said about getting over it quicker than Sue? Guess I was wrong! I just woke up on the couch coughing, choking and gagging. She left a note on the counter. Gone again!! ;D This crap in my lungs is breaking up now and wants out of there! Sure is a bunch of it. Mars what did they give to you there at work? I just use the old Alka Seltzer Cold and Flu along with zinc lozenges. They seem to get the job done and I'm usually down less than ten days total.
