Caffiene pills from what I was told. It worked and got me through the shift though if you guys get a faulty grease zerk somewhere don't come crying to me. ;D After getting some sleep though I felt like someone beat me with a pipe from head to toe. I'm keeping a good eye on the wife for awhile.

So, What I am saying is, if you missed it shame on you.. Sat eve. we had pot luck dinner. And we had so much food we could have fed another 50-60 people..
So mark your calenders for next year.. I do believe it is going to be the first weekend in June..

You all are great folks to gather with! We had a ball of fun and learned a whole lot about camping. It isn't anything like "camping" with critters in a livestock trailer! I like the idea of that June date real well. Historically about 7 degrees warmer than the May date. Doesn't sound like a lot but, I wouldn't have to wear two pairs of jeans, 4 shirts, a fleece pullover and 2 pairs of socks to keep warm around the double ring fire. ;D Not complaining. Had a spectacular time!! Just would prefer a smidge warmer temps to be camping. Can't wait 'til next year to do it all over again!!!!! I think next year I'll just feed y'all buttermilk biscuits & homemade jam all weekend. Or maybe I'll remember the eggs next time and make a mound of flap-jacks for y'uns. ;D "I ain't a fast cook...I ain't a slow cook...I'm a half-fast cook!" ;D

I grilled some chicken Sunday evening and it was the best I ever had. (Maybe I'm just starved!) I went to bed smelling like smoke and loving it! ;D Got some pork chops marinating in a pile of spice, vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, onion powder, some chile flakes, a whole lot of corriander, some thyme, a little sage, They are going on the grill in a half hour or so for dinner.

That's quite alright Steve. Spent the winter of '81 (Dec. - March) sleeping in the hay mow after our house burned. Wasn't too bad in Dec. But after all the hay was gone it sure got drafty. Nothing like taking a bath via garden hose hooked up to a cold water spigot under a lean-too all winter.

Come to think of it, I have slept in the snow. Sept. of '83 I was camped out on the ground between trucks at the Guernsey Co. Fair. Was nice all day (in the low-70's). That night it got cold and I woke up with nearly an inch of snow on the sleeping bag.

What are you doing back home already? :-X Have a good visit? The hat is covered. The bear is still in hock. I have an appointment to pick him up at 0900 Wednesday. ::) I'll get him in the mail as soon as I can. Probably Friday before I can get to the post officce. Faith, are you listening to this? I got stuff for you also. Cross your fingers Brian if it don't rain tomorrow I'll get your willow cut. By the way, you might want to take a look at the main site. I've done some editing. 8-)

10-4...... At least it won't be arriving on Friday. Our little old mail lady is known to leave my packages where ever she feels like when I'm not home. Could be in the barn, at the neighbors, over at the boarding school, the grocery store, feed mill....maybe just scratch my address out and write mom's in.....even though she knows dang well she'll pass me 1/2 mile on down her route.
I used to do her job. Maybe if I yell loud enough I could have it back!! I was RCR also. No excuses Maggie!! You just don't want to get out of the car.

Faith here are a couple pics your spawn might be interested in! ;D The rod and reel is a spin cast combo with tackle and a MacGyver tool. Inexpensive, but pretty nice I thought!

Real nice! The boys have already decided that Lana gets the combo set so she doesn't have to bum their fishing stuff anymore. They're such thoughtful fellas. Martin picked the top lure, Rob decided on the middle one. That leaves the bottom one for their sis. They tell me that if she doesn't like that one, TUFF COOKIES!! That will teach her to stay home once in a while. ;D

Ummm, Miss Faith, don't tell the boys this but the bottom lure is almost a twin to the one Toby's Lil' Sis caught that 7 1/2 lb Bass on. The top one has 24 ct gold leaf under the holographic tape and the middle has copper leaf on it. The boys got the pretty ones but somehow I think Lana got the most proven design...... ;D

Hey guys and gals. Got the bear in the box! ;D Unfortunately.... the box is about three times bigger than the bear! I really do not remember life being this difficult. OK, so tomorrow morning I go back to Wally World and get another box! LOL. Even the cats were wanting to know what the hell that big box was for! I'm glad Sue went to work before I unfolded it. I got it hidden in the closet and I aint saying a word. Faith, I got to do just a little tiny more detective work before I get your stuff delivered. Can't say any more right now! Oh Brian, your hat fits Teddy just about right so you might want to make sure you put it away before Addison sees it! ;D

OK Faith, What are your plans for the week-end of 24 through 25 June? We are haveing an artillary demonstration, reenactment, ghost walk, etc at the Prospect Mansion near the Memorial cemetary in the park at Dresden, Ohio. We will be showing up Friday afternoon for an artillary inspection and certification Friday evening with events starting Saturday morning. I thought that if you were inclined to visit I just might drag your goodies along with rather than mail them. Let me know what you think. Your choice. Or both! ;D
