No trouble Toby. I just had to clarify that. There's people here in Ohio who would just make fun of me if they thought I was eating and liking those white ones.
You know what they say.......Once you go yellow you never go back. No wait a minute..... they say that about sumthin' else. But you know what I mean!

Nice pics Mars! Being in a spot as pretty as that almost makes you not want to put any bait on the hook so the fish won't bother ya!
Having some of that YELLOW perch on a kaiser roll for lunch right now. Frying up a mess with some walleye tonight for supper.
The only thing them white perch are good for is fertilizer.

I'll wait until we move to catch those crayfish. Then I'll have a "boil" house warming.

I could catch all the crawdads I want in "my" big ole lake......but then I'd have to have a horse trough to throw them in for a week or 2 while they cleaned their systems out. But I do have a trap made for them!

He GQ, old Brian (who never comes around anymore) said that if you throw a cup of salt into the water with the mud bugs in the cooler that they'll puke their guts up thereby cleaning themselves up right now! Now I ain't talkin' from knowledge, just repeatin' hearsay! ;D

Brian is right, although I hate to say it We bought 15 lbs once for 3 of us, and wife put them in bathtub with salt water. After a little while, they were clean and ready to cook.

Gee, your lucky Bro.
Most men who would come home and dump live crawdads in the bathtub would get skinned alive by there Moms or wives.
Geesh.......yours was the one that did it! 2 big thumbs up to da lady of da house!

My scouting trip to Guntersville Lake was a bummer. Each day it got colder and windier. The only fish I caught was a drum and my friend caught a catfish. Not what we were looking for. I hope the weather is better down there in a couple of weeks and that I catch a livewell full of bass each day.

My fishing hole is closed off. We finally got some rain ;D The core closed off all ramps as the parking lots are under water. Lots of water going out the dam so hopefully in a couple days will be able to get on the lake.

The walleye are starting to heat up in the western end of Lake Erie. They're predicting another great year. I read a recent shock survey was done and out of 164 fish, 86 were 25 inches or better.

The salt water thing works for them crawfish. Surprise!!! I'm still kicking. Took the whole day off and got worn out by Addison and Miss Kathy. Had to replace her dryer this morning. Just got back from a week long trip to CCC with the boys and Rich. Bill couldn't make it. BUT, I toted a 40 lb sack of crawfish up there for a treat ;)and between all 4 of us we managed to eat about 20 or 25 lbs with fixings. Be sure to rinse them off well after you salt water them. Remeber, what the salt makes them do and then they swin in it. :oDidn't manage to get any turkeys but did get a few in close. Just not in good shooting position. >:(The fish were biting though. I took a napp one afternoon while Chris was hunting and Matt went fishing at the lake. Caught 2 nice small mouth. Had a great fish fry up there too. Ok 2 fish fries. It looks like things may be giving me a bit of a break to be able to come visit more often. It's just going to take me while to catch up on all that I missed.
