I did the chili dog thing 2 nights ago.
Lastnight prior to putting a rump roast in the crock, I used my slicer to shave enough slices off to make agood ole cheese steak. Unfortunately i didn't have any provolone so I had to use shredded cheddar. Still pretty tastey though!
Tonight its lookin like shredded beef hoagies with onion, cheese, and mayo. I'm too lazy to go buy noodles for my famous beef & noodles and I don't have 'nuff eggs to make them.

Tonight I did a can of Campbells New England Chowder, then a snack tray of cheeses, summer sausage and crackers. I must have burned fourteen thousand calories today just shivering!

Me too man! I'm on an Oriental kick for some reason. I fixed Sesame chicken, Asparagus with sesame sauce, and plain rice. Chicken with Sesame Seed 1/2 Pound Boneless chicken breasts skinned 1 Egg white 1/2 Teaspoon Salt 2 Teaspoon Cornstarch 2/3 Cup Oil, preferably peanut 1 Tablespoon White sesame seeds (untoasted) =============== SAUCE ================ 1 Tablespoon Toasted sesame seeds*(To toast sesame seeds, put them in a small skillet and heat, stirring frequently, until fragrant and just golden. Watch carefully.) 1 Small Garlic clove 1 Teaspoon Fresh ginger, grated 2 Tablespoon Rice vinegar 2 Tablespoon Orange juice 2 Teaspoon Soy sauce 2 Tablespoon Vegetable oil 1 Teaspoon Sugar 1/4 Teaspoon Red chile flakes 1/4 Teaspoon Sesame oil CUT THE CHICKEN BREASTS into fine shreds 3 inches long. Mix them with the egg white, salt and cornstarch and raw sesame seeds. Chill for about 20 minutes. Heat the oil in a wok or large skillet until moderately hot. Add the chicken mixture and stir-fry it quickly in the oil to keep it from sticking. Cook until it turns white, which should take about 1 minute. Drain the chicken immediately in a colander or sieve and drain off the oil. Drain all but about 1 tablespoon oil. Reheat until it is hot. Brown the chicken and add the sauce ingredients and bring to a boil. Serve at once, or let cool and serve at room temperature. 1 Pound Fresh asparagus ============= DRESSING =============== 1 Teaspoon Dark soy sauce 1 Teaspoon Chinese black rice vinegar =OR=- Cider vinegar 1/2 Teaspoon Seame oil 1 Teaspoon Sugar 2 Teaspoon Rice wine or dry sherry 1/2 Teaspoon Roasted Sichuan peppercorns (optional) 2 Teaspoon Finely chopped scallion Break off any woody parts of the asparagus stalks. Bring lightly salted water to boil in a medium skillet, add asparagus and cook for 5 minutes or just until tender-crisp. Immerse asparagus in ice-water to stop the cooking action. Pat dry and arrange on a platter. In a blender, combine the dressing ingredients and blend until thoroughly combined. Pour dressing evenly over asparagus and serve. Makes 1/3 cup. Now here is the kicker, when I got everything prepared and then went to the skillets I "rreversed" the sauces by mistake and man o man did it ever turn out terrific. The scallion sauce just hit it with the asparagus and the sesame seed sauce turned the chicken absolutely the best I have ever eaten in any oriental restaurant. So I have presented the sauces here in the "error mode" as I actually cooked it. Try it both ways; but, I know you will like the boo boo better!

Do I gotta have supper?? I'm sick of eating (or maybe just cooking) for right now. Thinking seriously of kicking back tonight with some peppermint tea and letting the others fend for themselves.

Well I had the plain rice leftover just right for fried rice and I was going to make shrimp fried rice and then I saw them fresh snow peas, brocolli, carrots, and celery sitting there. I had a pack of mixed fresh mushrooms and a half can of of mushroom pieces so I decided to make the shrimp a stir fry and brown some bacon for a base for my fried rice. Well you know how fried rice goes, there is always more than enough so I took about a cup and a half of it and mixed it up with two pounds of ground chuck, added a pound of ground pork, tossed in some Worcestershire sauce, some dehydrated onions, a little salt and some pepper and about 3/4 cup of beef broth and turned it into a loaf. So tonight it is meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and steamed asparagus!

Went to the butchers after a meeting and picked up 5lbs of fresh ground whole hog sausage but that's not for supper. I was wanting some T-bones they had last time I was there. Nope, that's not what's for supper either. They didn't have any. Saw some nice meaty back bones and was thinking "SOUP" but that's not what's for supper.Spied some hand rubbed ribs. Now that is what we are having for supper!

Bacon, cheese, and egg burgers! That's Filipino food too! They used to sell them from a cart in the parking lot outside the barracks there at Clark Air Base. After 10:00 it was the only place on base you could get anything to eat!

Long John Silvers tonight. Two pieces of fish, two pieces of chicken, couple of hush puppies, and ear of corn, and a cup of slaw.
Pretty dang tasty too, but it made me so thirsty I've drank four 20oz bottles of water and a couple of cups of hot tea since supper.

Hey Toby, I don't like the sound of that. If that thirst persists especially if you are going wee wee more than a half dozen times a day or getting up at night a couple of times then get to a doctor. I'm thinking really strong on hot roast beef sandwiches. You know, a couple slices of bread with hot raost beef slices, mashed potatoes and gravy over the top. Maybe some peas along the side. Some Jello might work too! Yep, that's going to be it allright.
