Scratch biscuits and black coffee! I didn't have any real butter, so I just used that nearly plastic crap in the little tub.

Didn't do breakfast this AM but made some scrambled eggs with mushrooms, onions, cheese and some kind of spicey mexican sausage yesterday..I diced up all the onion, shoons and sausage to 1/4 inch the started by frying up the sausage in an iron skillet to about half cooked added the onions and cooked until about half clear added the shoons and cooked them until it was all done then I whipped up a couple of eggs apiece adding about 2 tblsp of half and half salt and pepper...preheated a non-stick skillet added 1/2 tsp of butter and a splash of olive oil to it and poured in the eggs...to get light fluff scrambled never stir them push them with your spatula by tilting the pan towards you and pushing the eggs up and away this lets the uncooked slurry run down over a bare pan and cook repeated this until the were almost done then added the mix of sausage and stuff to them added the cheese and folded it over it's self...served them with twice cooked homefries and toast...just dandy...

Well I thought I'd eat a slice of meat loaf and have some fried rice and then I decided to make some donuts! The old lady was going to have a yogurt and then she saw them fresh hot home made just iced with chocolate icing donuts! Ya know what I had for breakfast? First time I ever made donuts from scratch. Didn't take near fifteen minutes to make fifteen or so using my basic buttermilk biscuit dough with extra Splenda and leaving out the butter and lard. Plain old cake icing in a squeeze bottle worked like a champ.

Dangit Paws, now ya got my mouth set to eat some doughnuts...I aint as ambitious as ya'll are I just pop a couple of cans of them cheaper than dirt store brand biskets poke me a hole in'em and cook'em in a pop of oil until they get nice and brown...toss'em in a bag of sugar shake it up and I got dough-nuts to go with my Kona coffee...I will sometimes nuke a couple of ounces of honey with a tsp of butter in it til it near boils and drizzle that all over them...kinda sticky but damn it's good
