Fresh pecans!
Fred disappeared yesterday on his bike and reappeared an hour and a half later with a half a horse feed back of pecans. The folks down at the end of the road moved out and the place has been sitting vacant, so Fred raided their pecan trees! Attaboy!!! ;D

Aw dude!! What I wouldn't give for a feed sack of them pecans for Thanksgiving dinner!!
I've been up to my elbow in a box of niller wafers and a bag of angel flake coconut today. I'd better stop this chit or I'm gonna be an ingredient or two short for the nanner pudding.

I ate a bunch last night while watching the movie, The Wrestler. It sucked... but the pecans were good!

Being as we have a microwave now.....as soon as I get Mike back on the boat, I'm loading up on Cousin Willies sweet & salty popcorn. Guess I can put the hot air popper in the box with all the pots and pans I'm thinning out. If nobody is here to cook for, I don't see the point of holding onto all this mess.

Sorry TT all the big stuff and the good made stuff went into the auction when we went to Wisconsin a few years ago. Only thing I kept was the cast iron and the 26 qt pot. Not much left but some cheapo texas sized muffin pans, tons of bread pans, and half-sheet cake pans.

I mix a store bought chex mix with a jar of dry roasted peanuts a can of mixed nuts and a half a bag of Fritos. That lasts about four days when the munchin' is heavy!

Momma brought me a couple gallon sized ziploc bags full of roasted peanuts. So I been munching on roasted peanuts whilst I watch the new episode of Swamp People, lol.

Maybe I'll give those bags a try. I been getting them in pint size jars with plastic screw tops that the cats have figured out how to open! They don't really like them but they love to feed the dogs!

This is what nailed me and caused the cramps. I had probably a quarter pound of peanuts plus another quarter of chocolate covered peanuts and chocolate covered raisens I threw together in a home made bridge mix.

Jerky sticks! I bought a mess of teriyaki jerky and gonna put a mess of wild hog jerky in the oven to dry. Gonna cut it into thin strips (off the backstrap) and coat it liberally with Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning and drape it over a wire rack with aluminum drip pans and let it dry on a hundred degrees... Might even crack the oven door to keep them temp down; only takes about six hours for it to get good and jerked.

Dry roasted peanuts. Me and the dogs love them and the cats open them up and dump them out for the dogs. Then the dogs take the empty jars under the bed. I got them, some peanut butter cup bites, pork rinds, Ranch Doritos, popcorn, cheese puffs, and Fritos in the cabinet. What I got to do is not eat them all at once!
