Peg has cancelled this year's re-enactment schedule for Bruce and his enterage. He will begin Physical Therapy soon but it will take some time for maximum benefit. He says that nothing tastes good to him; this concerns me. He hasn't really eaten anything now in three days. Let's pull together and try to keep his spirits up. Maybe we should even think of a mini-GT sometime in the next couple of weeks or so as a surprise visit. He does not have insurance coverage so Peg is busily filling out the paper work for assistance. Any ideas along these lines would be helpful.

I'm so sorry to read this and surprised as he was making such a great comeback from before. My prayers certainly go out to Bruce and his family I hope to hear soon that his GSF is improving...it's going to take an awful lot of determination for him to beat this mess again. May God Bless them...

Looks like Bruce is going to be at the hospital for a while. If you would like to send him a card: Bruce Reynolds c/o Marietta Memorial Hospital 401 Matthews St. Marietta, OH 45750 or you can send them to me: Phil Foreman 11310 Pleasanton Road Athens, Ohio 45701=9551 I'll make sure they get to him. Sharon got the address and got to talk to him a bit this morning. I'll see if I can get a phone number for him.

Hey everyone,
Sorry, I haven't had time to thank you all for all your concern and prayers. It means a lot to me an Bruce as well.
Bruce's room number is "215". Phone is 740-374-1515. No phone calls after 9:00 p.m. He was moved to Inpatient Rehab today. Visiting hours are M-S 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sun 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
He is going to have therapy anywhere from 3 to 5 hours per day 6 days a week.
Today he had a decided droop on the left side of his face. Speech is slightly slurred. Movement has not improved, however, stated that he did have some feeling when Jo was rubbing his left arm.
Still not eating. Our adopted son's girlfriend fixed him a porterhouse steak tonight, because he wanted one. The steak was good, tender, and seasoned just right. Bruce tried one bite. He was unable to enjoy it. Porterhouse steak is his favorite. Taste buds definitely not working correctly.
I am working straight through until next weekend. I get up go to work and then go to the hospital until 8:00 p.m. Home, bed and start all over again.
I love him and this is just killing me. Please ask the good Lord to help hold me up. I sorely need his strength right now.
Peg

Peg, I to will get a card out Monday morning. I also stopped by my parrish and my Priest will be doing a Mass for Bruce at 6am Monday morning. I will be there if I get off work in time. 6am Masses are not crowded, usually 4/10 folks,so I figure He won't be busy at that time. My and thoughts are with Bruce, you and your family. John

Went down this evening after work. Bruce still tired, however, my mom made him some potatoes and creamed tomatoes. He ate about 4 or 5 bites. That is the most he has ate in one day. I am so tickled.
I am having a bad day. I had sorrowful thoughts. I was sure before this evening that Bruce was not going to come out of the hospital. Now though, I am a little better. Bruce ate. He also told me that he was not going to give up. He was going to work real hard so that he can come home.
The Lord certainly does work in mysterious ways. I think it was his hand that helped me through the day. I was truly a mess. Worrying about bills and gas money. Worrying about Bruce and how I was going to cope with going to work and the hospital everyday. He has shown me a beam of light, not too bright yet, but I am sure it will brighten up as we get closer to it.
Thanks for all your prayers. I especially need them now. The world is a heavy place on your own trying to carry it all by yourself.
Peg
