Who cares what color the hair is? Bottle of dye'll take care of that! Just make mine with a tit on each side and a pair of legs that start at her feet and go all the way up until they make an ass out of themselves!

You lucky dog I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. We had rain most of the day yesterday. Hopefully it helped to fill some of our lakes up. I know the one I go to down the road was so low they had to shut down the ramp until the water comes back up.

Went to Guist Creek Lake today. I caught two LM and a bluegill. The first LM was a solid keeper of about 1 1/2 to 2# and the other was a dink. I lost one good one at the boat. All in all a good day fishing. And this was my first bass of the year

Congrats! Fry'n him up or did ya toss it back? I been wanting me a mess of fresh fish. No time to go out after a bucket full of bluegills, but I bet after turkey season I'll be after them pretty hard. I wanna get me a mess of catfish on the stringer too and batter fry them filets. Add a scoop of hot grits, some hush puppies, and a can of bush' baked beans washed down with a half-gallon of cold iced tea and you got a dinner worth braggin' on! Woof, I gotta calm down before I get all worked up and slobber on the screen!

I usually toss the bass back because I want to leave them for tournaments.

I am 1 for three now fishing this year. Went to Guist Creek Lake and fished for about three hours. Only got a couple of bites but nothing that would stay on.

Fished a charity tournament at Guist Creek Lake today. My partner and I finished seventh out of 44 boats. We had 4.55 pounds with two fish. I caught one of them, it weighed 3.82 pounds. It was a tough day but fun.

I caught a dozen bass on the KY River today, in the middle part of the day. One was a largemouth and the rest were all smallmouth. It was a gret day of fishing.

I had to run my mother in to work today so I grabbed the poles and hit the river.
Meghan and I get to a spot and there are several people leaving and they said they had not caught a thing.
I put a nightcrawler on the hook and throw out into the whitewater as a guy is telling me he has been there for several hours and not caught a thing. As he is talking my pole bends and he laughs that I was snagged already in "that rough water". He leaves in a huff when I land the snag, a 3 pound trout.
A couple casts later and I have a 2 pound smallmouth and Meghan catches a large creek chub. I'll get pictures posted when I can.
I decide to give Meghan an education on fishing fast current and in doing so I caught a large Redeye bass.
I quit fishing and let her have at it and she hooks a nice trout but she pulls too hard in the fast current and her line breaks. So she gets another class on playing fish in fast current. A little later she hooks a trout and plays it well enough and lands it. It had her other hook in it's mouth. We were out of bait so we went to my mothers house for an hour before I went to pick her back up from work.
So for 90 minutes in a spot that several others had fished for hours without catching a thing we caught;
1 Redeye Bass
2 trout, 2 and 3 pounds
1- 2 pound Smallmouth Bass
and Meghan got an education in fast water fishing that others overlook because they don't know how to fish it.

We went out to a wilderness area I recently got permission to go to and fished a slough that was supposed to be eat up with catfish. Only thing we caught were gar fish. I have been told my so many people that they eat and enjoy gar, so we decided to keep them and see for ourselves; I always just toss 'em up on the bank. Dave volunteered to clean the seven we brought home, each in the fifteen to twenty inch range, and surprisingly...it wasn't all that bad. It had a rubbery texture to the meat I didn't enjoy, but the flavor of the fish was mild and enjoyable still. If I go back and catch another, you can bet that it'll be....tossed up on the bank for the coons to eat later, lol, unless Dave volunteers to clean them again.

Gar is good eats but like most fish, smaller is better tasting. Atleast to me. I've not heard of gar around here though. Most here go after paddlefish when looking for an unusual fish. I cut them up into bite size cubes. It eliminates all the bones.Batter them up and deep fry. Get your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy. Popcorn fish.

Dad and I took a couple of the kids to the dock on the Withlacoochee River and in a couple of hours had caught 2 channel catfish and 27 keeper brem. No telling how many we tossed back for undersized.
They were really biting and we fished until we ran out of worms then loaded our poles up and left. I sure wish we'd have brought more worms!

Our fishing hole is all dried up. It was the south end of the lake at the foot of our hill. Guy who bought the lake is keeping everyone out and has trenched out an area at that end for his cattle to drink. That dried up the marsh that feeds the pond. All that's left is a little trickle of a stream. But I've seen him pull out some nice bass from what's now his own private lake.
