Today was the "NOT farwell fellowship dinner". I had fried chicken, ham, mashed taters & noodles, succotash, cole slaw, cucumber salad, peach cobbler and coffee. I many have snuck a little piece of brownie in there, too. Skipped the chicken casserole, sweet potatoes, corn pudding, and about 10 other kinds of desserts. We figured if a dozen showed, we'd be doing real good. Glad everyone made huge batches of everything. We had about 30 today. Five are going to be baptized next Sunday!! What a way to celebrate our "New Beginning"!!!! I don't think any of us will need to cook this week. Overate for the past two days and still have enough of leftovers to feed a platoon through Thursday morning. Anyone want barley beef stew, cucumber salad or peach cobbler? Also need to get the fridge cleaned out of stuff I'd thawed or got to make things before all the partying started. I could whip up enough deviled eggs and pork stir fry to get us all through a several more days.

Got bored around the same time I got hungry for lunch. So I hopped in the truck to see what I could see while deciding what I wanted for lunch. McDonald's would have been bad enough. But nooooo......not me. I had to get a Sara Lee cheesecake and then make a double cheeseburger with portabellas to go with it. It was really good. But it made me crash land for the rest of the afternoon. Flushing out (a little late now) with gallons of iced tea.

I stopped by McDonalds and got 3 McChicken sammiches a $1 each and a large $1 iced tea.
I wanted a McChicken and a large fries, BUT their damn large fries are $2.69. There's about one potato worth of french fries in a large order of fries. I'm not about to pay $2.69 for a single potato...F**ck You McDonalds!!!
So I saved money by buying two extra sammiches instead, lol.

Was heading for my truck after church and was stopped by one of the women who didn't want to go to her family reunion alone. So, she asked if I would like to follow her to the park for lunch. I ain't related to none of them. But, sure. Why not? All the usual potluck fare PLUS one of the kids got hitched yesterday and brought all the leftover food from their reception. Lasagna, meatballs, stuffed mushrooms, extra fancy cupcakes, cookies, and even wedding cake . Just my luck, when they drew for door prizes my name was picked for the big 'grand prize' basket. As I went back to the truck, I set the goodie basket on the seat of my friend's van. Didn't even look to see what was in it. But I thought that even though it was mighty nice of her to ask me to come, she may have missed her chance at a prize because it lessened her chance of being picked because my name was in the draw.

Awe, that was nice... Both the invite and the regift on the basket! Hope ya ate your fill!
My lunch was a tray of boneless pork chops on the Foreman grill. No salt, pepper or other seasoning, just meat. And washed it down with lots and lots of water.
